Christmas Day

9am dog walk - cold but a happy Skye.

Back home and the children were delighted with the contents of the stockings Father Christmas had lovingly filled for them

We then went to Neal and Zanne's house where Skye and Thea got to know each other in the snow.

A commuter’s life...

...is not a happy one.

The 06:56 to London Victoria (or, as we have re-christened it, the ’delayed 06:56 to London Victoria’) was even more fun this morning.

Our friends at Southern Rail only sent four carriages instead of the usual twelve!.

One regular wasn’t concerned however, he was happy making footprints in the snow. ‘Look I’ve drawn the letter ‘M’ for Marie’ he is saying.

A walk in the snow

The last shopping Saturday before Christmas and what do we get - more snow. I decided walking into town would be better than driving.

On the way home again looking back into town the snow was getting heavier.

Park Hill in the snow

I had a day off today to go to Christmas Dinner at School - Two hundred and five 5 to 7 year olds all eating dinner in the same room - happy but noisy!

In the afternoon I took Skye up Park Hill - snow still quite crisp although not very even nearly a week after last Wednesday nights large snowfall. Compare these pictures with some similar views in the blog of 28 November 2010

More Snow!

Lets go out in the dark last night and build a ramp to snow booard (well old skate board without wheels but with candle wax to make it slippy) - I wonder why someone has woken with a cold this morning!

The pond (it is there, honestly)

Skye is still enjoying the snow

It's beginning to get a bit deep for my legs!
