Yesterday evening we took a walk over one of the Golden Jubilee footbridges from Embankment Station to the Southbank bu the Royal Festival Hall. Two views from the bridge -
The waterside market with the Golden Jubilee bridges in he background (these bridges span the River Thames either side of Hugerford Railway Bridge)
Given the events of the last couple of weeks it was nice to see this sculpture
The sculpture of Nelson Mandela by Ian Walters was commissioned by Ken Livingstone when he
was leader of the Greater London Council. It was unveiled in 1985 by
ANC president Oliver Tambo.
Something that has been around a bit longer.
